Dog thefts – Dog Nappers to receive higher prison sentences

The Government has announced a crackdown on dog nappers after incidences of dog thefts almost TRIPLE in lockdown. The offence of pet abduction has been created carrying a prison sentence of up to 7 years. We think this is great news, firstly to acknowledge that stealing a pet is more than an object such as a laptop etc, they are so much more than mere property.
